Here's some background... the Behemoth is a small group of hardcore gamers with the modest goal of bringing craftsmanship and originality back to the game industry. Our first offering, Alien Hominid, picks up where 2D gaming left off in the mid-90s, and continues the evolution!
We hope everyone enjoys Alien Hominid. With support from fans, we will work to make the best games the world has ever seen! The industry shut the doors on 2D because it no longer had mass-market appeal. We cried for many years, but those tears of sadness turned into determination to revive and evolve our favorite genres!
Our development is 100% self-funded with support from fans who buy our quality merchandise!
Alien Hominid is a fast-paced 2D side scroller where players must run, jump and shoot their way across the globe in persuit of the alien's coveted UFO. The artwork is completely hand-drawn and hand-animated, with character design by Dan Paladin (also known as synj).
The original prototype has been downloaded over ten million times on newgrounds.com (its birthplace and home), while also being showcased on hundreds of other websites. It was so good they stole it! Due to its popularity we began development of the full console title. Throughout the past 4 years we have released Alien Hominid on four different consoles. Our latest offering is for the Xbox 360 Live Arcade system, which offers the first ever High-Definition version of Alien Hominid.

If you would like to purcahse a copy of the original game just click on any of the consoles above. If you live in the United States please note that the original Xbox version of the game is a PAL only version and will not play on any NTSC machines. (In simpler terms, it's a European version and won't play on your American Xbox's). The latest version of Alien Hominid is being released worldwide (except for Finland) on the Xbox 360 console.
